1963 Studebaker Hawk Gran Turismo w/ FACTORY Paxton Supercharger

Excellent Survivor. One of only 72 built with R2 engine and 4 Speed Transmission48,268 Original Miles! 3,682 since complete documented Engine & Supercharger rebuild. Lots of Original documentation and hand written letters from previous owners! This Super Hawk was one of the two display models at the 1963 New York Auto Show and was purchased by a private party through the Helms Brothers Studebaker dealership immediately after the show. Mrs. Emanuel wanted the one with the Red interior and the 289 cu in V-8 with 290 Horsepower and a Paxton Supercharger. It had 55 miles on it at the time the Emanuel’s purchased it April 8th, 1963.It remained with the Emanuel family until the mid 1980’s when it was purchased by the second owner, also a New Yorker. He performed a mechanical restoration including a complete engine and supercharger rebuild and refurbished or replaced some cosmetic items to bring it back to its full glory.
